My first $12.50 OpportuniTY

I was so happy to receive a 12.50-dollar opportunity from SocialSpark. The post was approved and also chosen by the advertiser as the BEST POST TO DATE. This is my second "best post to date" post and my first highest paidpost so far. I hope to receive more opps from SocialSpark. They are strict with grammar, so when you  receive opps from them, try your best to write the best. Be careful with the use of the articles and spellings. I had one post rejected because of the article "the". I had to rewrite the post and submit it again and it was approved.

How to keep the FONTS and COLORS in the PosT the same?

I visit multiple blogs everyday. I see blog posts with different FONTS and COLORS. How come?
It is because you copy a text from the net. You copy not only the words but also the fonts and layout of the texts. If you have this in your post, advertisers can see that you copy something from the net.

HOW TO FIX THIS?
There are two ways to remove the tags on copied texts from Word Documents or from the net.
1. Go to EDIT POST
Click EDIT HTML (post)
Remove all the tags.
Look at the sample below of copied texts from a Word Document, then you will understand what TAGS are.

The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog. (this is the text)

A text from the internet:
To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe. (this is the text)
I will remove the tags, the text will be like this:
"To acquire knowledge, one must study; but to acquire wisdom, one must observe."
So, the copied text is now the same as my post layout.

2.Click EDIT HTML (post) and paste the copied texts there. Then you do not need to remove the tags because the tags are not copied.
Try to make your post layout uniform and neat. Edit it.

Ice Breaker Games

Does your meeting, party or special event need a jump start? Browse through this collection of wall breakin‘, comfort zone shakin’, fun makin’ ice breaker games and do what the chunky penguin does “break” “the” “ice”.

Icebreaker games simultaneously accomplished 2 single objectives.

One: They bust, force, break and lure people out of their comfort zone, in an ever so gently manner. When people don’t know each other or are not familiar with the people they are around they tend to keep to themselves. When you break the walls down you open up an opportunity - An opportunity to have FUN!

Two: Ice breaker games also kick start the FUN. By initiating an activity or game you get the ball rolling. Once you’ve done that, it has a snowball effect, the fun grows and grows. But remember, that typically a snowball won’t start rolling unless YOU push it.

Team Building Activities/Games
The perfect team building activity increases unity, cohesion and trust within a team or group all while providing a energizing, fun and memorable social experience that your group will never forget.

Unity has been said to be “the state of becoming one”. If your objective is to build unity amongst your class, church or work mates then you have come to the right place for ideas, IcebreakerGames. Net has so many team building ice breakers for you to choose from PLUS we can help you lead the exercises with our “new“ Group Games Leadership Guide.

When a group of kids or adults work or often associate together its is important that the “mesh” or “get along” in the best way possible, team building activities can increase cohesion by helping others to understand one another and want to help one another.

Remember; productivity, efficiency and quality are always increased when people trust each other.

My Kids Had a Picnic

The last couple of days the weather was fine. Yesterday was the last day of my children's 2-week school vacation. The weather was moderate. All the kids in the neighborhood were outside playing football, skating etc. Annabel, Kevin and their friend made a tent and brought some toys and food like popcorns, chips, drinks etc. They stayed the whole day outside playing different games. It was good for me because I had enough time updating my blogs and browsing on the net.
Here are some of the pictures:

Changing His World is Changing the Whole World

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of SEO 5 Consulting. All opinions are 100% mine.
In our present world, the gap between the rich and the poor is somewhat high. Poverty is spreading fast. Why? Because of some situations and people.
The causes of poverty can vary considerably.
*Natural or circumstantial disaster like famine, physical limitations, loss of job due to death of family breadwinner and laziness.
*Calamity
The damages cause by calamities like the Haiti earthquake, Asian Tsunami and wars in Iraq and other countries were enormous. Many children lost their family. The buildings, houses and agricultural areas were washed away and buried. No more shelter, no more food.
*Industrialization
Due to industrialization of a country some agricultural areas are turned into factories which discharge unclean water and air pollution. Factories consume barrels of water everyday. No more water for the inhabitants. Water from the factories kills the sea creatures. Air pollution is spreading tremendously especially in Asia. Health is seriously affected. No more fish to fish and more land to grow plants for a living. No more clean air and water.
* Corrupt Government Leaders
Most government officials of the poor countries are corrupt. They want money, power and honor. In short they are selfish. Most aid does not actually go to the poorest who would need it the most but it goes to their own family and friends. These are just few of the causes of poverty.

To help these people especially the children who were left alone after a disaster is sharing them what we have. One organization which is very concerned and has love for children is Plan Canada. Plan is a global movement for change, mobilizing millions of people around the world to support social justice for children in developing countries. You can sponsor a child for $35 a month. With this amount you give him a better shelter, food, medicine, good education, in short a bright future. Donate a few dollars and see what your contribution does to a child's life. Be a part of his life, give something. SHARING IS CARING! Change a child's life and his life will never be the same again. Please visit Plan Canada and see what they do to change a child's life.
YOU TOO, CAN CHANGE HIS WORLD.

Comment written in other Languages is imPolite

What do you do when someone leaves a comment but in characters like Chinese, Japenese, Korean, Taiwanese, etc. or comments in other languages which you do not understand?
Do you care to look for a translator and translate it?
Are you eager to know the comments that is why you look for a translator?
Comments are always welcome and appreciated. But if they are written in other languages which I do not comprehend then it is worthless. How can you value or appreciate something if you do not understand. Comments written in Bisaya, Tagalog and Dutch are very welcome. I had few visitors who left comments written in Dutch. That is ok because I understand that language.
I have just visited a blog where the blog owner had to delete many comments written in characters because he said some commenters used weird words or a sort of spam. Now, I understand why some bloggers have to approve the comments before showing them. If I can still receive comments written in characters or other languages then I will do what other bloggers did, delete them or must pass first in my hand before I post them. I was wondering before, how can someone... a blogger follows a blog written in Chinese, Korean or other languages.
I think, it is discourteous to leave a comment written in other languages. You expect that the blog owner will look for a translator, and try to understand what was written. Try to respect each other's language. If I you open a blog written in English and you understand English, try to leave a comment in that language.
What do you think?

BEST POST TO DATE

After months of blogging, my effort is rewarded. I was so glad that one of my posts by SocialSpark was chosen to be the "BEST POST TO DATE". I never thought that I could have this kind of recognition. I am so happy that the advertiser was very satisfied with my write-ups. This is my 6th opp from SocialSpark.
At first I was reluctant to take this opp because it was already midnight. My hubby even told me, "you gonna sleep late because of that $8.50???". I told him shut up!!! but indirectly ;). I do not want to refuse the offer, so I took me an hour to compose my post. I said to myself, if the post would be rejected then I could do it again tomorrow then I have enough time. But to my surprise, the post was approved on the same day and chosen to be the best. What a feeling!!!

Some Pictures of the Queen's Day, April 30, 2010

Yesterday was the Queen's Day. It is the biggest festival here. Every city has its own variety shows like concerts, fun fair and many more. Here in our city we had concerts of different bands, rummage sale and fun fair.

There were only few people who visited the festival because of the bad weather. It rained the whole morning. We went there around 1:30 pm. We only stayed for an hour. I found it boring. You only see the rummage sale. I do not want to buy second hand stuffs. You never know the kind of people who used those stuffs. We just wanted to roam around trying to find some interesting event on the day. But unfortunately after an hour we found it boring so we went home. It was a bad and boring day.

See The Bright Future with iLasik

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Incendia Health. All opinions are 100% mine.
I have been wearing eyeglasses for 13 years now. I have just got my new eyewear. I am planning to have iLasik. I have asked several friends who did laser vision correction and they were very satisfied. They were very glad that they did this kind of operation because it really helped in achieving their dream, a better vision. Having this kind of eye surgery is a kind of investment. I did some research about the price. It is pricey but it is a health investment. I am saving now so that I can have this eye surgery in the near future. I wanted it badly. I do not want to wear eyeglasses anymore. You gotta see this video sponsored by Abbot Medical Optics, Inc. (AMO). This video showed the different entries of the contest. After watching the iLASIK Video Contest, I could see how the modern technology helped our lives especially the eye which is one of the five basic human senses. You gotta see this iLASIK Video Contest. The Grand price was $ 5,000. They were very funny but very sensational. Got to see what iLasik did to their sight. There were lots of entries in different categories with different prices.
Has anyone out there did this surgery? Can you give me some advice?
