My First Princess Cake

This cake is made of moist chocolate cake and sugar icing. One of my friends ordered this cake for her 4-year old daughter last Saturday which is also the birthday of my oldest child. Her daughter and mine have the same birthdate but my daughter is 11 years old.
I was hesitant to make this cake because I thought it was difficult. But when I started to apply the first layer of icing I felt satistied. My creativity and imagination how to decorate the cake just came up spontaneously. I was very happy to know that my friend and her guests appreciated the cake and very satisfied about the taste. I will be baking cake in the coming weekends. The month May is already full of orders. This coming weekend I will bake for my mother-in-law, next weekend for the baby shower of my friend and last week of May I will make a 3-layer cake for my daughter's friends. So busy, busy, busy baking.

A Basket of 43 Roses

This basket was made of sugar icing except the rose stems which are sticks. It holds 43 roses which represent my 43 lovely years on earth. lol! Few friends of mine came last Saturday to taste this delicious moist chocolate cake. It was my first time to bake this kind of cake. The recipe was given to me by a good friend of mine here in Holland. The cake tasted yummy and looked great according to my friends which I am very proud of. This cake caught a lot of attention to my fb friends. A lot of questions had been asked about the basket. Maybe I can start accepting orders. What is your order? chiffon, chocolate or vanilla, etc. LOL!

It was a lovely afternoon with my friends at home.
